Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA)?
An Enrolled Agent is a federally licensed tax professional. These professionals are authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS. EAs focus only on taxation and must complete ongoing continuing education requirements.
What types of services do you offer?
Services include:
Tax resolution services for individuals and small businesses facing IRS or state tax issues (accepted on a limited basis)
Advisory phone consultations help individuals and business owners understand tax matters. These calls let clients evaluate options and make informed decisions.
Services are tailored to each client’s situation and may vary based on complexity and availability.
Why do you accept only a limited number of tax resolution clients?
Tax resolution matters require focused, individualized attention. Accepting a limited number of cases allows for thorough analysis, clear communication, and high-quality representation. Availability for new resolution clients varies throughout the year.
How do I know if my tax issue qualifies for tax resolution services?
Tax resolution clients are accepted only after an initial review of the facts has been conducted. Not all situations are a good fit. If appropriate, you may be offered a formal engagement agreement outlining the scope of services before any representation begins.
What is an advisory phone consultation?
An advisory phone consultation is a one-on-one call designed to provide general guidance, clarity, and strategic insight regarding tax or business-related questions. These consultations help clients understand their options and next steps, but do not include IRS representation or ongoing services unless agreed to in writing separately.
Does an advisory phone consultation create a client relationship?
No. An advisory phone consultation does not create an Enrolled Agent–client relationship and does not include representation before the IRS. A formal client relationship begins only after a written engagement agreement is executed.
Can you represent me before the IRS?
Representation before the IRS is available only to clients who have signed a formal engagement agreement for tax resolution services. Advisory consultations alone do not include IRS representation.
Do you prepare or file tax returns?
Tax return preparation may be available for existing clients or as part of a broader engagement, depending on availability. Please inquire directly to determine whether this service is currently offered.
Do you work with clients outside of Louisiana?
Yes. Advisory phone consultations and tax resolution services are available to clients nationwide, subject to availability and engagement acceptance.
Are outcomes guaranteed?
No specific outcomes can be guaranteed in any tax matter. Results depend on individual circumstances, compliance history, and the policies of taxing authorities.
How do I get started?
You may begin by scheduling an advisory phone consultation or submitting an inquiry through the website. If tax resolution services are appropriate and available, the next steps will be discussed following an initial review.
